Looks like this time they are showcasing the tech (including APIs) in their own software and solutions. ![]() This year Apple went without having 3rd party app developers on stage. Still a great browser, although nowadays using Edge for lot work related tasks.Īutomator (RIP!) is going to be replaced by Shortcuts (known from iOS), which enables power users (well, anyone) to create workflows, automating commonly used actions. Last year, we knew a whole lot about the new software for iPhones and iPads leading up to WWDC, thanks. I can think of many nice workflows for power users with this. New versions of iOS and iPadOS are sure to be a major focus of the WWDC 2021 keynote. Universal Control makes possible to control iPad (or even another Mac) straight from the Mac and interact with each other. MacOS Monterey, following the familiar naming scheme… :) Similar features from iOS and iPadOS are available here as well, such as Focus and others. Apple Watch is the obvious source of health data, but Health supports third party apps and devices. IOS Health bringing bunch of new health insights and features to share data with professionals and own family. I like this, ad companies probably won’t :) Newly introduced iCloud+ paid storage (free upgrade of you have existing paid tier) brings bunch of more privacy features such as private relay of web traffic. iPad still my number 1 productivity device, so can’t complain on the small things coming here.Īpple continues their work on user privacy by releasing some new privacy controls in Mail and Safari to fight user tracking etc. IPadOS getting some nice iterative improvements to menus and multitasking. Overall Apple is doing good work with integrating HW & SW to bring new value. Been using Apple Pay since introduced, so really happy to see more applications.Īdding retrospectively Find my -support for AirPods Pro & Max + bunch of other usability features for previously released headphones. Also possible to store (probably US) ID and drivings license. Wallet: adding functionality to store keys for cars, home & hotel rooms.
